Alito Nomination Goes To Full Senate

In a straight party line vote, the Senate Judiciary Committee today favorably recommended Samuel Alito's Supreme Court nomination to the
Rubber Stamp Company full Senate, virtually ensuring the conservative jurist will join the high court bench. All 10 Republicans voted for Alito, while all eight Democrats voted against him.

The Republicans are complaining about the partisan vote but who is politicizing now? Senator John Kyl R-Ariz also warned that Republicans would remember a party-line Alito vote in future Supreme Court nominations, noting that many Republicans voted for Justices Stephen Breyer and
Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who were nominated by President Clinton. What happened to voting for the good of the people?
